Spring Break Space Camp for Kids!
Are you looking for something for your child to do during spring break that will keep them entertained, and more importantly will keep them learning while they aren't in school? Today is your lucky day. The Science Center is pleased to announce that we will be offering a week long space camp for kids from 2nd grade through 5th grade. They will learn all about the solar system, the night sky, rockets, telescopes, earth science, and more! The kids will even be able to bring home a telescope that they made all by themselves! We offer two different options depending on how much fun and learning you want your child to experience; for $100 they can attend Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and for an extra $50 (for a total of $150) they can participate in all 5 days of space camp! For details on how to register feel free to give us a call at 903-510-2312!
Brand New Dome Shows Coming Now! Don't Miss "Journey to Space" and "Hidden Universe"
Journey to Space showcases the exciting plans NASA and the space community are working on and the challenges they must overcome to carry out missions, once considered science fiction, such as landing astronauts on Mars.

With narration by noted actor and "Star Trek" captain Sir Patrick Stewart and extensive interviews with NASA astronauts Chris Ferguson and Serena Aunon, the film captures the spirit of human exploration and describes how it is at the core of our own DNA.
A human mission to Mars is in the planning stages, and major steps are being taken to make it a reality within a generation. The goal in making this film was to tie together the actual hardware being built with the tremendous planning under way that will make the next steps in space exploration the most far-reaching in our history.

Journey to Space, presented by Austin Bankplays at 3:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday and tickets are $5.00 for students, seniors, military, and children and $7.00 for adults.

Hidden Universe takes audiences on an extraordinary journey deep into space in the cinematic medium that transports audiences like no other. With the full power of the Science Center's 40 foot dome, the deepest reaches of our universe are brought to life with unprecedented clarity through real images captured by the world's most powerful telescopes-seen on-screen and in a fully immersive setting for the first time.

Stunning, high-resolution images of space allow moviegoers to explore the earliest galaxies, watch stars being born in vivid clouds of gas and dust, tour the surface of Mars, and witness images of distant celestial structures including stunning views of the Sun.

Hidden Universe will premiere in the beginning of April, so stay tuned for further information about showtimes!
