BubbleMania Coming to TJC's Science Center

BubbleMania Coming to TJC's Science Center!

Casey Carle, comic "bubble-ologist," will perform his amazing one-man show, "BubbleMania" Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, at the Center for Earth & Space Science Education at TJC. Show times are 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 children, military and seniors. Cost includes the "Bubblemania" show plus a tour of "Sonic Sensation," the science center's current exhibit of 14 interactive stations examining the science of sound.
Seating is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. For tickets or more information, go to www.TJC.edu/cesse  or call 903-510-2312.
The TJC science center is located at 1411 E. Lake Street on the TJC main campus.

Intended for adults and children ages 5 and up, "BubbleMania" combines comedy, soap-bubble science, music and a fascinating exploration of bubbles of unusual shapes and sizes. The show features giant floating spheres, soap-film "serpents," bouncing bubbles, hands-only bubbling, balanced columns of bubble foam, cube bubbles, the Amazing Popcorn Machine, the mesmerizing Crystal Ball, the spinning Bubble Spacecraft, and even bubbles that burst into flame.

Carle, a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, began his career as a clown in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. There, he became the first circus entertainer in the country to encase a person in a bubble. Since then, he has parlayed his comedic timing, showmanship, science know-how and bubble-making expertise into a show that has garnered broad critical praise. The Boston Globe said, "Carle creates ephemeral masterpieces out of thin soap. Behind the act is a wealth of training and a passion for this slippery art form."

Carle performs more than 350 "BubbleMania" shows a year. He has been a bubble consultant for Pepsi and Cirque du Soleil's "The Beatles LOVE." He has been featured in Disney's "Family Fun" magazine and Scholastic's "SCOPE" magazine for teens. Carle has also co-authored a book, "BubbleOlogy: A Hands-On Science Kit." We hope to see you all there!
