Starting this week we have some great new events going on at The Center for Earth & Space Science Education at Tyler Junior College.
Public Astronomy Lecture Series (PALS)
Thursday, January 30th, at 7:00PM - Tom Hooten, Director of the Center for Earth & Space Science Education, will speak on Science Top Tens in 2013. His talk explores some of the most fascinating science related events of 2013 including the first observation of the Higgs Boson, the Russian Meteorite Impact, and much more!
Thursday, February 13th, at 7:00PM - This special PALS event will premiere the brand new show To Space & Back. The show takes audiences on an incredible journey from the far reaches of our known universe to our own planet. It is an extraordinary story of human ingenuity and incredible engineering, describing how the technology that transports us through space is paving the way for the devices and apps we use every day. What is happening above is coming back down to Earth!
Tickets for each PALs event are $5 per person. See you there!

Looking for a great outing with the kids this Saturday? Come help us kick off our 50th year as a science education center at Tyler Junior College by joining us Saturday, November 9, for Kid's Day!
On Saturday, February 22nd, kids 12 and under will be admitted to CESSE for free all day (10:30am-5:00pm). To celebrate the future scientists who will lead us into tomorrow, we'll be showing kid-approved shows all day in the dome. Be sure to check out our Origins: Dawn of the Dinosaurs exhibit in the exhibit hall, and the new coral reef tank, full of new marine friends you may not have met before!
