Thank you for your active involvement in the Center for Earth & Space Science Education. In this quarterly newsletter, we will talk about Jurassic Summer, our new exhibit, new shows, and our extended summer schedule.

Clear skies!

Dinosaurs at Dusk

Take to the skies and discover the origins of flight! A new planetarium show is coming to The Center for Earth & Space Science Education: Dinosaurs at Dusk.

Travel back in time to meet the pterosaurs and the ancestors of modern-day birds: the feathered dinosaurs. Lucy and her father navigate from continent to continent, looking for clues about the origins of flight and experience first-hand the cataclysmic "last day" of the dinosaurs.

Two New Dinosaur Shows & "Origins: The Dawn of Dinosaurs" Exhibit Are Now Open!

Interested in dinosaurs? So are we! This summer, The Center for Earth & Space Science Education is proud to present two new planetarium shows all about dinosaurs.

In "Sea Rex: Journey to a Prehistoric World," experience a wondrous adventure from the dinosaur age. Join Julie as she travels from a modern-day aquarium to the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. Explore an amazing underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures including the powerful Liopleurodon, long-necked Elasmosaurus, and gigantic Shonisaurus.

In "Dinosaurs Passage to Pangaea," take a ride through a 3D animated stop-motion adventure. Discover the truth about one of the greatest geological events in the history of the Earth: the separation of the supercontinent Pangaea. When two children embark on a geology field trip back in time, they are thrown into a fantastic voyage where they witness incredible geological wonders and learn the mysterious process that created our present-day continents.

Along with these two shows, The Center for Earth & Space Science Education is also unveiling a new exhibit: "Origins: The Dawn of Dinosaurs." Step into the shoes of paleontologist Paul Sereno and discover creatures from the Triassic period over 200 million years old.

Both the exhibit and shows opened on May 28th and are available now through the end of Jurassic Summer (September 1st), so come see them while you can! Times for the shows are available online, and tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket counter when you arrive.
