If all goes well on March 10, 2006, the latest NASA mission to Mars, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, will achieve orbital insertion around the Red Planet. In recognition of that achievement, the followings Saturday and Sunday, March 11 & 12 at 2:00 PM, Tyler Junior College's Hudnall Planetarium will feature the public presentation of "Mars: 4th World", a planetarium show about the planet Mars, including its history and its influences on culture.

"Mars: 4th World" is an original production of Hudnall Planetarium and is suitable for all ages. Tom Hooten, director of planetarium, said, "The show begins with early superstitions surrounding Mars but quickly turns to modern exploration. Along the way we learn many interesting facts about the planet."

Admission costs to "Mars: 4th World" are $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at the door one-half hour before each showing. No seating is allowed after the show begins.
